Thanks, I want a 5" rat tail so I can get grinding, I have a load more to cut off obviously but wanted to get the main cut off so that I could get the cherry picker under it to pull the motor so I can fall over it for a month or two.

Need to start thinking spring packs, ok so I know what I want, I mean order them. I need to order the locator and sleeve kit from Skys.
I have shocks and one shock tower, need to bend another.
Need ruffstuff/ barnes 63" swap kit unless I make them like I was going to years ago, I have the front spring hanger that I made years ago and a load of perches and U bolts.
I need to order some round stock so I can make rear hangers.
I managed to find some cheap wheels on ebay that I will shod with 35's if I can convince the wife unit they need to go on her credit card, Im not a fan of the wheels but as bugger all else is available at the moment.

What else do I need? Oh yeah, Motor and trans.. anyway, moving on..
Have front axle, just got to build it. need brakes etc.
Already have a rear axle stripped of brackets, the one Helipilot blew a hole through with the plasma.

Will find a set of 4.88:1 4 pinion, might upgrade to 5.29's and lockers after the fact.

I have a winch and parts of a bumper. Winch is in bits which is fairly standard.

Need to acquire a long receiver socket so I can build the rear bumper. I will probably off the original swing away and build a new one with its entrails.

I am on the hunt for Blue interior parts, if you have any HMU. I am looking for the 2nd compartment roof lamp. I have numerous grey ones but no blue and that's the kind of thing that makes me twitch.

Off to the blasters with you and your twin, when I find it.

This is the cross member I made 7 yrs ago I believe and bumper side plate.

There is a crusty crossmember as well but I havent decided whether I will use it or not.

That's out.

That's also out, I spy some potential issues.

Its awaiting the needle gun.

I am also looking at some seriously long jack stands as the single post is quite limited in some aspects. I need to reposition the legs holding the rear of the truck so I can start to cut the radius arms brackets off. It would be handy if I could put it on stands and move the lift out of the way.
The next thing on the list is to get it on springs so I can wheel it to the two post and lift the body off ready to prep the rest of the frame and cut the unnecessary bracketry off the frame.
It would appear that a replacement fuel tank would be difficult to find so I may end up making one from Aluminium, which would be interesting as it would allow me to half the depth of it  and raise the top as the thing has a body lift and will retain it. This will mean that the tank will be up higher in the frame and wont be draggin its balls in the dirt and over every damn lump and rock it comes to.

What happens when you leave Ruffstuff parts in a box unnattended for 5 yrs.
Also.
What happens when you leave Ruffstuff stuff in a box that subsequently fills with rain water?

One on left was as bad as one on right but I have patience and tools.
U Bolts clean up beautifully ..

So this is what I did tonight.

Back in the dry. Sun shines in the back this way round which should dry it out nicely.

What's next for the poor thing?

Needs to come back in the shop, no space in the shop, build extension to shop, put new lift in extension, put truck in extension.
In that order.
Then build it.
