Only a 84-85' G52 (wimpy), 86-88' G54 (better), or 86-87' R151F (the very best) would bolt right in

The 89-95' G58 uses the chain driven t-case so it is out

The only other trans is a 89-95' 4 runner, or a 90-95' pickup forward shifting W56. It would be 50% stronger? however, both trans-t/case handles would be 1/2" rearward. You would also need the matching t/case with the 1/2"shorter shift rod. Everthing else would bolt right up
