Re: Brake Question
« on: Feb 01, 2006, 08:00:14 AM »
i completed a SAS about a year ago and the brakes have been soft from day one. It is the original master cylinder and it has aftermarket p/valve for the rear. No leaks to be found. The SAS was completed with Dana 44's. Wondering if maybe the Master cylinder is to small for the calipers of the axles. This is on a 88 Runner.

(I have put a gallon or so of brake fluid through the system)
yes  the master is too small,   you need a fj80 1inch bore master cylinder or  a chevy conversion mastercylinder,  i think SKy manufacturing makes a adapter to mount a 2 bolt chevy mastercylinder  to the 4 bolt toyota booster
