I love it when people say Toyota and horsepower in the same sentance. It makes me chuckle. Toy motors were not made to be real horsepower monsters, they were meant to last a long time and be reliable. Propane would be a good setup to run more compression, but you better be keeping off the streets! I was considering propane but realized it wasn't worth it for me.
