Ha!!! And you guys all called me crazy when I started a thread about 4.37s being weak some time ago. I had a broken one in my 80 when I bought it, switched it out with one from my parts truck and broke it too, broke off 10 teeth and still was able to drive home despite leaking out all my oil through the hole it made in my rear end. Dunno why, but the pinion gear seems to be the weak link.
