It's what I do.... so it is a Cali vehicle you won't need any inspection by the DMV or CHP, just a smog cert. That is a good thing because I don't think it will meet the scrutiny of a brake & light inspection either. Just get the R.O. to fill out that dup. title form, smog it and you should be good to go. No need to show insurance on transfer of ownership either.
