From my experience (over 20 years very active 4-wheeling) beadlocks are more of an expensive, extra heavy, gadget than really necessary for the average rock crawler and off-roader. There are obviously racing conditions when beadlocks may be necessary.

Less than half the guys I ran with had beadlocks.  I don’t recall anytime seeing a tire bead dismounted from a rim while the tire had air.

I ran Glamis for years with my two Toyota pickups with zero issues on tire bead dismounting from the rim, and if a tire was going to slide off the rim, running hard in the sand dunes at 5 PSI would do it.

That’s just my opinion, it may be worthless.
