If you have a 5-spd, the 5,29's would be the correct choice of gears for 35's, if you have an auto, the 5.29's are your only choice.   35's are about 11.5% bigger than the 31's(oem tire package), the 4.88's are about 6.5% taller than the 4.56's, meanwhile the 5.29's are about 13.5% taller.  You would be under geared by about 5% with the 4.88's(think 5% loss in HP performance), while with the 35''s you would be 2% over geared(not sure if you would see it, maybe on the upshift between 3rd and 4th).  The 5% power loss would be fine if it was a dedicated trail rig, but as a DD the performance loss wouldn't be worth going with 4.88's.  I have ran a set of 35's on my '90 with 4.88's, and every hill I could climb with ease in 5th, I struggled with in 4th.
