I got pretty good at adjusting mine.  In the fall and in the spring, I'd have to tweak the choke.  And periodically have to make adjustments on the fly, cause it would lean/rich.  It all depended on time of year, and what type of driving I was doing.  Driving slow things would load up, but foot to firewall, never had a issue.

Just like now, I can drive my 22RE here on the coast, and I can barely get it to do 70mph, but when I'm in Central Oregon, I can run at 80 mph all day long at 3/4 throttle, with no effort at all.

And you gotta get a REdline one, the others are crap from what I hear.

I've seen somewhere that you can put a TBI on from a GM 2.5 litre four.  Either that, or just go with propane.  And all the issues will fall aside.
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!
