the FS has been trying to discourage people from going to kaiser pass and beyond...from what I was told this last weekend by several wheelers who had stopped at the Prather station.
Funny,the woman I talked to at Prather Ranger Station told me the road is open and she was frustrated that anyone would say otherwise.
