The bigger boster is on now, more stopping power .
got my aussie locker in the rear
and a good weber carb

 the clearance.

june07
hears the start of the back seat.

I will be using the old body mounts and the bed mounts for the bottom of the sheet metal.
The lap belts will bolted to a cross brace for the bed mounts.
I am using the old hood as the rear end.

the back seat area is tacked up

Theres 12in of clearance between the back seat and my seat all the way back.

mid june 07
This ford gas tank is out of a van . picknpull for 30 bucks.

Since I gave away my good doors. I had to make some half-doors.:D

I wanted the doors to fallow the seat line.

spent about 2 hours welding a 12ga 1''x1'' square tube in each door. and ground them down smooth.
 My welds are getting better on sheet metal. o ya im using .030 flux core :D

More of the doors done in sides all braced up, and arm rest made.

I locked the lock open

A big task was to figure out the mounting for the latch.

I set the handle about a 1/4 inch in so the little plastic cover sits flush after the back sheet metal is on.

Front sheet metal.

mounted

Finally got some work done to the p.s. pump. I drilled the restrictor plate out to
.232 and cut the piston to about 1/8 gap. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=167299&page=3 This is a before and after, off of pirate.

hydro hoses will never rub the steering again

and after a bad thing happened with the a.c. on my truck
:nervous::pissed::squint:  waiting for AL gore to take a **** on my lawn:nervous::nervous:
I got my p.s. cooler on  this added 1/2 quart of capacity.

Since I LOVE to recycle. ;)
I decided to reuse the old skid pan for the gas tank.
It is a battery hold now. :D
my welds so far.

I cut about 4.5 inchs out of the old tank mount.

Its mounted in the truck.

I used 2 7/16 bolts and a pair of 7/8 rubber mounts to hold it to the bottom of the
floor of the back seat.
I made it with 2 batterys in mind. Took about an hour to do.  The black lines in the middle are the seperation lines. The lowest point is 7 inchs above the rear D.L.

Then i got some paint on it

DOVE NOSE TIME O YA :gapteeth:
I cut about 8 in out of both sides.

I am dropping the hood 2-3 inches.

The front almost done.

Any way got a bunch of the loose ends tied up. The hood will be removeable. She runs again.

This is today, what she looks like.

Next is and exo. Marlin's MC07-R10, 21 Spline Kit and 5.29s hopefully in that order.
