OK time for an up date, i totaled Big T ............ NO silly. I just put a 2003 Sequoia alt in it. why you ask well with all the electrical crap they put on cars these days they have to keep putting bigger alt on them. the 2003 Sequoia alt is a 130amp unit. I found mine on ebay for 45.00 with only 61,000 mile on it. from what i found on this swap a lot of land cruiser guys do it but all in all the only thing that i had to do was order a plug for the alt to swap the existing wires to ($7.95 at Toyota), up grade to 4gauge wire and a 175amp fuse ($20 in wire and connectors), and re work the lower alt bracket. very simple. so for around $80 i have a bad a$$ alt that puts out 130amp vs 80amp. i might try and put the old alt in my 85 runner. O ya i also took the 2" body lift off witch sucked. i had to cut the sliders off and now have to figure out how i wont to put them back on since the body now sits level with the bottom of the frame. and well the hole truck was built around the body lift. i had to cut more of the inner fender for the shock towers and had to unbolt the upper frame support and take a hammer to the hood supports because they hit the S/C but i like it so it was wroth it. i am working on resizing the pic so i can post them.

Hey hey looky there, welcome and nice to meet you, when i bobbed my bed your t100 was the only one i could find that had a bobb job. Are you still running 4.56's? how do you like running 35's? i have 4.88 and 37's and was thinking of going down to 35's. I use mine as my dd and i am not a big fan for the Fun County II i have on there.

Good to see other T100's in the ranks of all these Taco's..I'm a big old guy and just liked the T100 since they 1st came out..
love the room inside...hated the long ass bed !!

I looked through Your buildup and Man.......It was like...I Just did that...and that ....Koooool...
the front spring shackles ...same crap..
the winch fits right between the spring hanger and right behind the factory bumper...

I sold my BFG muds and got some super swamper 36x14.50x15's on 8" waggon wheels..I still have My Mickey thompson atz Street tires for DD...
This truck has become more of a trail rig (NO SUPRISE)...
I'm going to swap out to 4:88 gears and hopefully a crawl box soon...
I need to figure out what i need for the crawl box.
the automatic is the same as the lefty Taco's..I have plenty of gear drive cases.
.just need the adapters and maybe go in with 4.70 crawler gears..

Ya i never was a big fan of the length of the beds ether so i cut 15" out and now its a 5'x5' square box lol. Ya i would love to put duels in it, first gear suck. I have toyed with pulling my r151 and duels out of my 4runner and putting them in my T but not yet. Now that i took my 2" body lift off i had to cut my rock sliders off and now my frame brace that goes over the top of my engine no longer fits. So i think i am going to chop the 2" block down to 1" and put them back on and i am thinking of cutting the 2" of body the hangs down on each side (including the doors) if that make sence. This is what i am going to do: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=689341

OK time to bring this back to life. What's in store for BIG T you ask? Well first I have gotten some questions about the 130 alt upgrade on here and on Expedition Portal.com so I will post more pic and talk more in-depth on that to start. Other stuff that will be happening is that I am stripping..... lol no no i am taking LINK my 4runner apart and going with one rig (BIG T) and with the tranny in BIG T going out more and more each day i will be Putting my R151 and duals in it that I take out of LINK!!. I will also be putting my Ford Taurus fan in Big T that is coming out of LINK they are rated at 2500 CFM on low speed and 4500 CFM on high by most sources. I will also post up the Pic's from my Half bout side but with out the bout side?!?! Ya I know, so it more just that I cut the bottom 3" off the body and doors. I got the Idea from the link I posted in July last yr and did it back in august (2008). And I will be putting a 2nd battery in
 Annnnnnnnnnnnddddddd GO!

ok 130amp alt from a Sequoia or Tundra.
PIC 1: this is the new plug you will need from Toyota #90980-11964. This is the plug for the back of the alt. The alt is set up for 4 wires to plug into it but the wiring in the for the 3.4l only has 3 wires. I can remember what the 4th wire is for but dont worry about it. So the plug in the pic has the unlock plastic thing on the bottom, top right = yellow / bottom right = white / bottom left = red. hope that make sense

PIC 2: All the wiring done and hooked up

Pic 3: Shows where the alt fuse was from the factory (have a pic somewhere will post latter). The fuse on one side had the big hot wire off the alt bolted to it, the wire was 6ga. On the other side of the fuse it had a plat with 2 bundles of wire bolted to it, a total of 6 wire's. Some to the fuse box in the cab and the rest the the fuse box under the hood. and one the the batt... (6ga wire). At that point I extended the two bundles with 6ga wire (use the old hot wire off the alt) one bundle goes on each side of the new fuse.

PIC 4: Hole in top of fuse box to run wires to new bigger fuse. The old fuse was only good to 90 of 100 amp's. New fuse is 175 but I am thinking about taking it down to 150amp, but dont know yet.

PIC 5: Shows the new fuse with the wiring hooked up. The new red wire is 4ga that come off the alt (hot wire) and 4ga to the battery.  The box the fuse it in is from Radio Shack and they come in all different sizes.

PIC 6: shows the old 100amp fuse. Consists of 3 wires one 6ga wire from the alt and 2 going to the fuse boxes.

PIC 7: Shows the “cold side” of the old fuse.

So to round this mod out, I would say it can be cheap and is well worth it. Very easy to do even if your not a wiring wize, God knows I'm not. Unhook the batt... and take your time. I did it all in about two hours. This mod will also serve me well when I put my 2nd Batt... in. Any question post them up

A 3.0 bell housing bolts right up to both and a 3.4l clutch with a 3.0 throw out bearing. Now the T100 r150 came with a 7" long bell so my shifters you move forward an inch but it should be ok and if they hit I will pull the shifters and cut the bottom and make a dog leg to put them back to where the where.

splines and the length of them are the same as a regular r150. I say regular since the r150 they put in the t100 is an inch longer.

Ya I decided not to sell it. I really wonted a diesel or double cab taco but you cant put a manual tranny in them with out doing an ace load of rewiring. And ya I just decided not to sell it.

Well after a long weekend of camping and light wheelin (labor day weekend) i need new front u-joints. i was looking over the truck Sunday night i saw that i was missing a cap on my driver side u-joint. I ended up just ordering some X-JOINT's from Alloy USA. they were only $39 each, so cheaper than the 5-760 spicer joint and a little stronger. this is from Alloy USA: "It has a peak load rating of about 55,000 ft vertical load and a load defection around 60 kips made from 8620 metal cold forged. It has all equivalent factors as a spicer HD joint." According to Longs testing the HD spicer failed at 48,649lbs. I would like to go with Longs 300m joint but i still have the stock dana 44 axles so these will work for now.

ya it sucked, i had just cut my sliders off so i could take the 2" body lift off and they would have helped a lot but o well its just sheet metal and i was able to take the inside panel off and "kick" the side out a bit.

braided steel lines for a chevy dana 44 with an adapter like:  http://www.russellperformance.com/mc/brake_hoses/adapt_fit.shtml
10mm to -3 but you might need a -4 for the dana 60 tho.
