Looks great Jim. Can you get to the hinge bolt through the fender? Next time you are down pull the hinges off the parts truck so you can have a set for the tube doors and the full doors.wayne
Looks awesome. Those full doors almost look out of place with the paint job on the rest of the truck, but I guess they go with the roof.BTW any reason you didn't paint the roof like the rest of it?
It does with about a 1/4 inch to spare. You better be at KOH. Donald needs help.
what is your next project on this sick rig? or is it done? cant be done or can it?
I saw this at the KOH race. It looks really good! I will be doing this for mine when $$ allows. Jim, I am sorry I didn't get to talk to you very much. The kid I was talking to when you came up to me, is a hamm radio nut. If you have any problems with it, let me know, he can probably handle it. Were you during the race?
Its never "done". I don't know for sure, but I do need to address the rear axle, tubbing the front fenders and getting the hydro assist installed. I also have some other little parts that I need to get in (hub gears, detent spring, ARPs) etc.
i know, you were talkin about comin wheelin in nor cal with us, its project road-trip! we are planin a camping trip in a couple months to go to the moon rocks for the weekend, you should try and come.
Sorry it took me so long to reply to this. I have a couple of friends who live in Elk Grove that I would like to visit this Summer. If I can somehow also get the wifey to agree to drag along the Runner I'm there.
Wow, that is an incredible view. Despite the lack of rocks it was still a beautiful day to do some cruising.
Thats a sweet 4runner man, the paint job made me laugh . . . my dad used to paint all kinds of stuff like that. Like ; fishing reels, coolers, duck hunting boat in camo version. . . etc. Nice build and plenty of juicy pics.
The Toyota engineers simply dropped the ball when forgot this. They should have known that the American public loves their food. The "manifold burrito" is a huge hit with my kids on the trail. Take a frozen burrito, wrap it in tin foil and put it on the manifold. 30 minutes later its ready to go. The problem with the stock setup is it only holds two burritos and the mainfood shield would rip the tin foil (probably not the most sanitary food in the world). A trip to the local restaurant supply house for a stainless steel serving container and a pair of tin snips solved the problem. The boys and I enjoyed a great hot lunch.
So im gonna be building my exo and bumpers on my 94 runner here pretty soon..Ive always loved your front bumper, and the lights in it too..Got any more good pics of it?
