Looking for a oil cooler that will fit perfect on my 85
« on: Jan 09, 2016, 06:43:40 PM »
Just like the title says. I'm looking for a oil cooler for my new power steering/hydro assist setup that will fit perfectly on my 85 4Runner. Hoping some of you that have done the same already can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I thought about this as well and found quite a few threads with people saying it would be a bad idea.

some people run inline tube filters along the frame rails

as far as the ones in the lower radiator, those are always a risk, if there is ever a problem, you will mess up your cooling system, and whatever hydraulic fluid you are trying to cool off

Every parts house has these.  And is the way to go.  Unless you want to get fancy, and bling.  But why spend more for something that does the same thing.

done that as well when we have to do a tranny swap at the shop they require the cooler to be changed to keep the warranty so you always score a free cooler!

How do you like that style? I also have one of those but I am leaning towards the other style.
