I know there are a lot of post on this subject but I am in the market for some junk yard rear springs and I need to know which ones to lean toward. I heard, rangers, 2wd chevy full sizes and waggies. I have the 5 inch allpro lift up front and I need to know some opinions on this subject. Also, means of achieving the lift in the rear with the new springs. Any help would be great!

77-79 cadillac seville.  You'll need to add 2 springs to the pack from the rear of a typical 70's chevy pickup to make them sit level with the front and to stiffen them up.  You will love them, I consider them the holy grail of rear springs.  Id be running a set but I cant find anymore......
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I'm running 63" Chevy's in the rear with Orbit Eye shackles. 3 leaf pack, plus overload, only got 1" lift.

I would think you will have to run an add-a-leaf to get up to 5" lift, or rock grabbing hangers dropped low.

I would like to find a pack all together so I don't have to add to the spring pack. What about blocks in the back to make up for the lift?

MiniSimp

Add-a-leaf, or longer shackles would be better than a block.
Block=Axle Wrap=broken driveshafts.

I dont get much axle wrap from my 2 inch blocks.  I am running 63" chevys with 2 inch extended shackles and buggy springs, i get about 6 inches of lift and extreme flex for a road driven truck.  If yoy didnt know this, in order to get the most possible travel from your shocks you can mount them in a upside down v.   :turtle:  :usa:

I have Allpoo 4" springs in the back of my truck and and really don't like them they don't flex worth a :pokinit:.  A was planning on doing 57" F-150 springs, but these Caddy springs sound good.  Would I have to move any of my hangers.  I can't move the shackle hanger back any more cause I cut my frame right behind it to bob my bed.  Any Info would be awsome.

Anybody out there running ranger or F150 springs?? (Jack8542) What size tires are you running on your rig and does it sit pretty level?

Blocks suck...I'm glad I don;t need them..I'd say a custom f-250 or a f-150 pack work well on trucks..I use the 63's with no blocks and no over load and no blocks..I have no lift issues,,and no axle wrap partly due to I use a track bar..

I added a NWOR super stiff leaf to the middle and that stiffened them up quite a bit so hopefully mine won't go negative on me. So far, so good.

Im running 88 broncoII springs now.  Im not sure how this pack will work as I have yet to drive it with them yet.  I made a 6 leaf pack using 3 leafs from a set of 44044's.  I was running 85ish ranger springs but I killed a main.  The main died because of my lack of strong spring clamps, they bent and allowed the leafs to fan out.  I was riding on the main leaf and the bumpstop and I didnt let off so the main turned into a nasty S.

Do you have to run a track bar with all these springs that are this flexy?

Hey WHITE_TRASH, I did some research today, While I was at the "junk" yard I asked one of the guys there if they had any 77-79 seville springs, the guy said no but he could look up which other cars had them, so of course i said hell ya, and here is the list he printed me out

Apollo.........'73-75  5-leaf
camaro.......'67-81  5-leaf
Firebird.......'67-81  5-leaf
nova..........'68-79  5-leaf
Omega.......'73-79  5-leaf
Phoenix......'77-79  5-leaf
seville.........'76-79  5-leaf
skylark........'75-79  5-leaf
Ventura II....'71-77 5-leaf

Can't really verify that they are the same, but I looked at some camaro springs and they looked pretty awsome
Hope this helps out
