Moccasins from deer hide with parfleche in the sole are nice, or barefoot for maximum dexterity...  :)  My kid decided to spend most of the summer bare foot, now he can practically walk on broken glass without flinching.

After boxing up the Piloti shoes and getting some shopping quotes I decided that it wasn't with 25% of the cost for the return so now I will be working to break them in and I am also cleaning up my Plan B yard shoes. The Magic Eraser is an amazing product and takes the green/black stained white soles back to nearly perfect. We just need more erasers...

That's funny right there...legs...

The shoes are fairly comfortable around the office.  I figured it would be a good place to break them in.

A co-worker of mine had these flip-flops with a bottle opener on them.  Sweet.  She bought a new mustang but it was an automatic so I'm not sure she would be able to tell me if they were good driving shoes or not.

Ever considered those 1980s hooker boots?

I used to have those flip flops with the bottle opener on them. It was a cool idea but when you think about it, do you really want to open your bottle with the bottom of your shoe?

Well that's true, and if you drive an old Toyota your door latch is a bottle opener anyway so it's kind of redundant.

Flip flops are my wheeling shoes. Unless it's cold then it's boots.

I think the Piloti shoes will end up being pretty comfy after they get broken in a bit.  Wearing them around the office I noticed that they have significant padding in the heal and under the ball of my foot.  Definitely a different feel from most shoes.

I'm really picky about shoes because I have had a couple of time in the past years when my feet hurt quite a bit.  On one of the times I pretty much replaced all of my shoes trying to find something that was comfortable.  I know I have some minor circulation issues in my feet and lower legs, but don't know how much that impacted things or if it was something else.  I've pretty much started refusing to wear shoes that are not comfortable anymore.

Ecco is currently my favorite brand.  I'll probably stick with them going forward unless they prove me wrong.  So far I have a pair of dress shoes and casuals shoes.  Next will hopefully be some gore-text light hiking type shoes, but they are $200+.

I recently started taking better advantage of my work providing safety shoes for me up to $100.  I picked up a pair of gore-tex steel toe Keens for about $30 out of pocket that I wear to and from work so I won't be wearing out my personal shoes.  I can get a new pair every 6 months, but I think they will last closer to a year if not more.

I have Schamburg's Disease and I am convinced it has a small circulation component though it isn't a listed symptom that I have found.  It clearly is an issue with blood vessels. My dad has it and for the most part it is a cosmetic thing.

At least you don't have to wear rubber boots all day long.  The boots they supply us with, one pair will be slippers, and you hate it when they wear out.  Cause you don't know what the next will bring.  I've had some serious issues with my feet, just from heavy work boots, and rubber boots.

My absolute favorite shoes are the Columbia hikers that are made just for Famous Footwear.
http://www.famousfootwear.com/en-US/Product/15079-1009221/Columbia/Mud/Mens+Birkie+Trail+Hiking+Shoe.aspx

And the Doc Marten's slip on at Famous Footwear too.
http://www.famousfootwear.com/en-US/Product/50135-1032840/Dr.+Martens/Tan/Mens+Bryce+Slip+On.aspx

These are two shoes that fit my narrow feet without being sloppy on my feet.

Next will hopefully be some gore-text light hiking type shoes, but they are $200+.

Take a look at the Zamberlan's. That is what I use for search and rescue. They are super comfortable and tough too. I have narrow feet.

Why on earth would I do that?  :hammerhead:

Not yet, I have just been leaving them at work this week to give them some wear time.  I'll probably take them home this weekend in case we go anywhere.  I really have not gone anywhere to really see if they are comfortable for more than 15 minutes in the car.

Yes,  we drove about 150 miles today. Not perfect, but my feet felt great at the end of the trip. They definately have a padded heal that makes my foot feel higher relative to the pedals. I think a little more break-in to stretch out the tight fit a bit and they will be great. The soles are fairly slim and I randomly noticed that simply curling my toes to stretch would cause an acceleration or deceleration.
