first Toyota4x4 P/U is a freebie

Hello 'ALL'...cousin gave me a 1985 Toyota 4X4 P/U...HE SAID IF i COULD GET IT TO RUN, i COULD HAVE IT...welp it's running after cleaning/boiling out gas tank and putting in a new fuel pump, just can't drive it up the street...no power when I press gas pedal...this is what has brought me to your forum...this newbie needs some help, info and direction...PLEASE
