Driveshaft Removal, Slip Yoke Plug??
« on: Jul 28, 2015, 10:02:55 AM »
Just went thru FSM to prep for Driveshaft removal.  It says after removing from slip yoke at transmission/transfer case to use an SST to plug inside the yoke to prevent leaking.

Will a wadded up rag be okay or should I just plan on draining and not worry about it?

Opinions?

I thought only 2wd had a slip yoke..........

and all 4wd have a splined driveshaft with bolted on flanges
