Hi, I have a 1988 Toyota 4runner with a 4 cyl. 22r engine. The engine has recently been rebuilt and i'm attempting to reinstall it. The job is almost complete however I can't figure out where the fuel line that connects to the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator attaches. Also there is a fuel line coming from the fuel tank that isn't connected. I would think the line from the fuel tank would attach to the regulator but the hose has a natural bend indicating it goes to the front of the engine. Also the hose has a thick protective shield that has a groove worn into it. This groove lines up with another line toward the front of the engine, showing wear where it has been laying on this line for a long period of time, also indicating this line connects to the front of the engine. Does anyone know where these hoses should connect? Thanks

Get it figured out yet? I can run down and check out mine... it's a pickup but I do have the 22r also so there's a good chance it's the same

Sorry for not responding but I just seen your message. I got it all figured out and the engine was running great before blowing a head gasket after only 1500 miles. I just created another post asking for advice on my new situation. Thanks for the responses I received.
