Anybody run Deaver f55 springs?
« on: Jun 13, 2015, 09:00:35 PM »
I can pick up a brand new set of deaver f55 springs from my buddy for $300.   I have been researching to see what the application is, and it seems these are made for 1" lift running them spring under axle on a stock truck.

Has anybody ran these sprung over?  Are they still worth buying for spring over?  Or will it have too bad axle wrap/ etc...

I am thinking of buying these and running them spring over.  I assume if i played with shackle height i can get it to sit level with the 4"/ruf pack on the front of the truck.

Thanks for the information in advance!

What makes you think it would have bad axle wrap?

from what the searching i tried to find, people seemed to say it would in a spring over application, but all i could find for information on these was on trucks made to go fast in the desert.

With that said do you think they would be worth picking up?   The rear of my truck has skyjacker springs in it now i believe and i don't really want to run them.

I'd get em. I think ruf stuff makes extended perches that help with axle wrap. I don't see it being a problem. I have never ran them, but if your not a throttle junkie you should be fine just my  :twocents:

I like using the throttle!  But im going from a 3.4 to a 22re

I need to sell my motor or front axle and then ill go pick those springs up i guess. Im sure i could sell them for what i can get them for at least if i dont like them
