Now I'm confused!  As long as I'm on the list that's all that matters.

As a heads up, there will also be a work party on Cadillac Hill Sept 18-20th.

On Friday, they will be doing mostly the prep work, but on Saturday they will be pouring concrete.  Cadillac Hill will have next to no passage on Saturday the 19th due to shoring up and stabilizing the hill.  Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

This should not effect anyone coming in via Loon or WWS, but if you plan on dropping in on Saturday from Tahoma, you will not be able to get by.

Sunday it should be clear for us to exit as normal.

This is a very poor choice of a weekend to do this with knowing of this event. Is there anyway of changing the date for the trail repairs planed for that weekend??? Well I guess it's good I'm going in on Thursday night from the Tahoe side!!!

Ok guys, just got the list updated for the last time. I've been in and out of the office over the past three weeks and have been very busy. We had 7 more rigs register by that last Monday we allowed (after the weekend Aug 3, mostly locals) that I hadn't gotten added to my post yet.

So the final official count is 217 Officially Registered On Time who will be receiving one Grand Prize Ticket each! :woohoo:

This is the largest on-time registration we've ever done so this is looking to be a VERY successful event!!

To compare:

Year
EventRegistered      Cost

2015
MCR14      217$65

2014
MCR13145$65

2013
MCR12192$65

2012
MCR11184$65

2011
MCR10181$65

2010
MCR9126$60

2009
MCR8131$50

2008
MCR7165$40

2007
MCR6152$25

2006
MCR5111$25
(MCR4 and below were free events and we did not keep a count. About 50-100 rigs showed up to each.)

Only 24 more days to go!!

Has there been any communication with the multiple work parties that are attempting to work during the weekend of the roundup? Seems like it has the potential to turn into a hot mess with this many rigs registered (not to mention those that come without registering).

Just now getting some time to look into this for myself. Christine has already been in contact with the Springs property owners and no one contacted them about this work event. When the proper procedures are not followed, it usually makes for a messy work party. I hope they can get in and get out as soon as possible. According to a post on Pirates, which I've added to a Notice banner above, they plan to have the hill opened back up completely by "early afternoon".

We are dropping down Cadillac Thursday afternoon and will be very busy Saturday managing the event at the springs so we won't hear how it's going until people start trickling into camp Saturday.

One phone call from this Jeep Jambo group to the Springs property owners could have prevented this. Maybe this is a lesson that the community at large needs a better scheduling system. Remains to be seen...

BigMike

Registration is closed but you can still come to the roundup. Just pay to camp at the springs and support by buying regular raffle tickets.
