Topic: Timing chain guides

Are the timing chain guides interchangeable between early years of 22r and 85-95 22re engines? I can't find anyone that sells just the right metal guide rail for my 89 22re but I can find just the right side for 1979-84 22r. Just wondering if it will work on the newer engine. Thank you

I have a used set of metal ones, with chain tensioner and gears I can sell you on the cheap. Less the 5k miles on em? No seal or gasket though. PM me if yout interested. I can also post pics.

I'm completely guessing but I think earlier blocks are shorter so I'm assuming so are the chain guides? That might be why you can't find it for your later engine

The later blocks are shorter.
