1987 Toyota Extra Cab Build
« on: Jul 22, 2014, 06:34:31 AM »
Just picked this up last week, ended up trading a few things around and got this for about $100. Needs a rebuilt head and rear axle. Allready got a lead on a head and axle. This is going to be a very Slow Daily Driver Crawler Build. plans are similar to my last rig. Ruf up front, F150 in rear inboarded with creeper joints. Duals, flatbelly and a partial exo. Been out of the game for a whyle ready to start another rig.

I was planning on calling EngineBuilder and getting new water pump oil pumps, dual row timing chain kit and tensioner. This and my new head should be able to get her running. need to add a seat for my kid, thinking along the line of this.

I'll be watching this one as I am pretty much doing the same thing to my 88 SR5 Xtra cab.

I have been getting new head casting off of ebay and have had good luck with them.  A new casting and valves with used hardware is not much more than trying to get a used head rebuilt.
