Hot spots, regulations, places to avoid, new laws? around Butte County. Lived up here for a couple years but didn't get to do much fishing last time and just moved back a couple days ago and wanting to get a lot of fishing in this year since I will have some free time for once. Feel free to post some pics to brag about!

Just to bump this thread... I went out on a halibut/striper charter out of the bay area sunday and a lady accidentally caught a really nice salmon, probably about 25 lbs.  Everybody was really bummed to find out she couldn't keep it unless we were ALL running barbless hooks.  She was a little more bumed than the rest of us.

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Super nice fish. Thing about the native/hatchery thing , in california hatcheries only clip approx 25% of hatchery born fish and of those that are clipped are the only ones with the PIT tags in their head.
