I just got an email that the knuckle service kits are back in stock for the FJ80, yay!  Anyway, some of the guys over on mud do not recommend the eco seals for these axles, but my experience with my mini-truck was that the eco seals were the only thing that kept my felts dry.  Is it an issue with the FJ being AWD, is it an old issue that has been addressed, or a non-issue?  Marlin himself gave me two of the original batch of seals for my mini, and like I said they worked great, but I don't want to seal up my axle and then have to tear it apart again.  Eventually I'll get away from the AWD, and go to a part time setup with locking hubs, but for now I just want to get it sealed up.
According to a recent study, 50% of all statistics are correct.

did you ever get an answer? Im looking to rebuild the wifes 80 front end and was planning on using eco seals ... but if they have an issue I would like to find that out before I use them.

Being from Mud my self the guys in the 80 section are anti anything but OEM. I love the Marlin seals in my mini and they should work fine in an 80. Marlin isn't some other no name.

I have only heard good things about Marlins Eco seals

I have eco seals in my 80 for about 5 months now. No problems so far. They fit really well onto the axle. Don't see why they would have any issues.

If there is one thing I've learned from wheeling with a guy who drives an FJ-80 and gets all his info from mud...take everything they say on that site with a grain of salt.
