I saw a real nice flatbed in a magazine, I was made out of 2 x 2 square tubing.  It was a pretty sweet setup, I'll look for it and post a pic if I find it.

Here it is!  I like this setup a lot.  If I were gonna build a flat bed, I'd go with something similar to this.  Square tubing would be easier than round to work with as well.

2x2 square 1 1/4 round up top. Tabs are for diamond plate that i plan on wrapping the middle with, but at 200 a sheet it's not high on my list.

Do you notice the weight of the spare in off camber situations? I putting my spare in the same place, but I'm concerned about the weight up so high.

It use to about 8"-10"  higher but I lowered it so it would fit in his garage. Casey105  :banana:never said if he felt it or not. Ive seen his truck laid over pretty good, you should ask him.   And no thats not an All Pro bed I built it almost 4 years ago.
