oil pressure guage?

i am just checking to make sure i have a 91 pickup with 22re and i want to install an oil pressure guage to do that i just take sending unit out and screw new fitting into its place right or do i install it into a different place?
i love playin in the mud

Sounds like you have an aftermarket Oil Pressure gauge, and yup, just put it right in the same place as the stock sending unit. (There are two sending unit locations on your block and either one will work)

assuming you have an idiot light now, i would recomend using both.  The light to get your attention and the gauge to see the actual pressure.  Like mike said, there are two ports to hook into, on some trucks the one may be behind the engine mount.  If you still want to run both the gauge and the light, you can use a "T" fitting to hook both into one hole

For reference, the idiot light sending unit is found on 100% ALL 22R/22RE/22RTE engines (at least state-side) in the middle of the passenger side engine mount. The optional oil pressure gauge sending unit is located along the same horizontal about a foot closer to the oil pump.
