I have a 85 Toyota 4Runner with stock tire size and tranny and i have been having an issue with my tranny, its a 3 speed auto with overdrive and the problem ive been chasing is when it goes to shift into third gear, it engages for a sec then jumps into over drive, both with the overdrive switch on and off and it wont kick down from overdrive, only to second gear, its as if third didnt even exist. ive searched the forums and they all said to replace the three solenoids in the bottom pan but that didn't do anything either. I have done any mods to the truck as i wanted to sort all the issues out with it first and i really don't want to spend a whole ton of of money fixing this issues, i also have an 86 4Runner that i use for recovery and camping with the same tranny and it doesn't have this problem any help would he greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
