My 22re goes through a weird fit where it will bog when I step on it . It will accelerate but not as it should. If I keep my foot in it, if seems to clear out and randomly open up to full power. What could this be?

Does it seem to bog down within a certain RPM range?  Then once you get over 3,000 RPM's, it opens up like its on nitrous?

Check your TPS sensor, and AFM.

I had issues with mine and it was the idle screw

Throttle Cable
Idle Screw
TPS Sensor
AFM

I would check in that order.  My 22RE was doing something similar and I tracked it down to the throttle cable.  Basically the rigging next to the TPS (the place where you can manually rev the engine).  Looks like half of a pulley.  Mine was just an adjustment of the cable 'tightness'.  But when I was looking at it I can see how the 'pulley parts' could loose some lubrication and maybe stick and not pull/release smoothly.

Just have somebody in the truck, engine running (neutral obvioulsy) and have them slowly and fastly rev and just watch how it reacts if it looks like iy i functioning as normal (smoothly returning and/or npot sticking while trying to rev) i would then move to idle screw then TPS then AFM.

I think that order is a quick process of elimnation getting to the more difficult things to diagnose.  At least for me anyway  :hammerhead: :hammerhead: :hammerhead:

Good luck
If I don't ask the stupid question, who will?

Also don't forget the dash pot that was also hanging up on mine and held the trottle open

That usually comes from the TPS. Best way to narrow it down is to put the jumper wire in like you were trying to set base time (diagnostic box next to the fuse box on passenger fender well)  jumper between  T an E1. If the computer responds then the TPS is set correct or close and that's most likely not your problem. (You'll hear an RPM drop if the computer is responding) If you don't hear an RPM drop then the TPS needs to be adjusted or replaced. (Most likely adjusted) There not hard to adjust once you know how to do it. I'm sure there's a sticky on TPS adjustments, if you can't find clear instructions let me know and I will post some.

Not likely to cause anything other than high idle if it was sticking.
