soon as i get the motor back in my tacoma and give it a few days of test driving makin sure everything is good its back to the third gen taco motor swap...

ok got the 2rz all dressed up and ready to drop between the frame rails...made some simple motor mounts out of some old spring hanger brackets and guna weld tabs to the frame

got the t100 oil pan on the way and guna pick up a few other things we need and should be turnin the key on this thing next weekend

dropped the 2rz between the rails and tacked the motor mounts in place then pulled it back out to finish weld them...i also bolted the tranny up so i could make sure everything was dialed in...

So the plan for the 2 rz was to put a w56 and single case I had Layin around behind it beins my cousin had an auto trans and np205 for the v8 he did have in his truck. But plans got a little better when we found a good deal on some stock duals wich will be a pretty good setup to start with.

I'm guna have to beef up that crossmember though, I've seen bad things happen to that style if they're are not built strong enough.

We got the t100 oil pan for the 2rz. Also picked up some misc stuff at the junkyard the other day like the evap stuff, maf sensor, radiator, and a driveline to work with

Did the power steering reservoir rub on the hood?? Seems like the engine would sit high with these mounts?

No it dosnt sit much higher. They're pretty much the same as the factory mounts.  The plate you see on the frame isn't the factory mount it's from the v8 mounts we had in there before. They might be a touch higher but everything clears just fine.

Getting back on this project, worked on it a little New Year's Day. Guna be bolting everything up for good and get this thing ready for the trail.

did u use the the taco fuse box?

Yea taco wiring from front to back. Taco blinker switches and ignition fabbed onto third gen tilt column. 22re fuel tank. Most stuff has the same plugs for the heater and things like that
