Topic: Ford Dana 60 HP Passenger Drop Axle Build ???

I have been thinking about building a Dana 60 for the front of my runner I’m tired of the toy axle, just wondering if anyone has built one or has input.

I want to take a Ford Dana 60 HP and flop the tubes and make a Passenger drop HP axle out of it.

I found some information on building one but it was a little spotty, I’m decently handy with mechanical work and think I could tackle this but need to do some more research first.

I'd say go to Pirate 4X4 and ask this question. I know several fellers that have done this for rock bouncers here in Ky but I don't know what all is involved. I do know that when they do it they use a thicker walled tube to replace the stock tube they cut out.

Just swap the tubes from side to side.
