Smog tech question

Is there a way to find out weather my new to me 4-Runner requires Federal or California smog?  If so how do I find out?
First off my stupid Hanes book doesn't show a vacuum diagram for an 84 California equipped truck only Canada and Federal.  I have been looking at the 83 and 85 trying to figure out if they are the same but no luck as it seems mine has stuff on it the 83 doesn't and the 85 is different than what I have as well.  This Runner has an air pump on it but the hood decal indicates its a Federal/Canada diagram.  Any help is appreciated.

IIRC, the Canadian and Cali requirements were the same.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.
