all this talk about leaf spring and shopping around, front spring/ rear springs    is there a difference between front and rear or are they all the same.... iv read on some forums that the fronts are narrower than the back on some years... please help me clarify thanks!!!!

Rocksurfer

They are different in length, capacity and how they are set up. Rears are longer than fronts, the fronts are designed to take the weight of the engine above them and the rears are designed with varied load weights. They do swap rears to the front though with modifications to the springs and mounting points but the fronts are not.

Okay thanks, I'm going with the trail gear 3link in the front but my buddy had a set of 5" all pro springs and I was gonna put those in the rear but they are the springs off the front of his truck because he also has the trail gear 3link that's why he has them layin around...

Could you pull a leaf or two from the pack to make it work?
