Houston we have a problem....
« on: May 28, 2002, 01:52:26 AM »
Couple of things I would like to throw out at ya'll.

1) I have my R151F tranny in my 85 now *(X-member did fit with a new tranny mount by the way)* anyways, Now my driveshaft is at about full extension and I fear if I do any wheeling it's going to seperate, is this normal? Do I need to find a different year driveshaft or do I need to have this one extended?

2)What size bolts *(2 of them)* do I need to bolt the slave cylinder to the bellhousing? I forgot to grab those bolts from the junk yard when I bought it.

The tranny swap went pretty well with the exception of breaking a few bolts and drill bits here and there, and pulling the tranny back out of the truck a half dozen times trying to get it to line all up and slide into place *(several several hours on the concrete trying to get this to happen)* Only things left to do is bolt up the slave cylinder *(after I know what size bolts I need)*, bleed the clutch, rewire for the nuetral safety switch so the truck will start, get some reverse lights, put in the correct shifter *(when it arrives in the mail)*.....Ahhh it never ends does it.... :headshake:
