Hey guys, so kinda odd to check in on a new forum but I want to be around for a while and learn and he is much as I can.so a little into, I currently have. 97 4runner with t case armor, sliders, custom front and rear bumpers and 33" big km2 mt's.  unfortunately I did not know much about crawling or off reading in general when I bought the truck or did the upgrades. So now I am looking to get a pickup or 4runner, with the stock solid axle up front. So I'm not positive about the years but I believe creation-85 for pickup, and the same for the runners. If I'm incorrect please let me know, seeing as I don't have the truck yet I am hoping to get some advise on what upgrades to do first, any challenges I should be aware of, and if anyone has ideas of a good way to sell my current 4runner... If I said anything stupid I apologize feel free to correct me!  So, glad to be here and looking forward to learning a ton! Happy wheeling guys

look for 79-85 pickups and 84-85 4runners for solid front axle. This forum has tons of info so my suggestion is to start researching and start a build thread when you finally get going on one. As far as selling your current rig- when you have 12 posts as a member, you can post in the Rigs for Sale section. Good luck

Ok awesome! I really appreciate the quick feedback, I I am leaning towards the pickup I just love them!  I know the 22re engines are awesome and reliable but I have not looked into the 20r or 22r, I'm assuming the 20r is bullet proof like its brother.  Are they for the most part good engines, especially since a lot of the pickups have lots of miles on them.

Yeah, there's a bunch of nice trails. We're very fortunate.
