I know this is probably a dumb question: :smack:

Will a 22re out of an 85 cleica bolt up to my w-56 tranny?

same block, I ran one when I cracked mine.

Actually that was a 22r, dunno bout the re stuff

I would think that any r series engine would share the same bellhousing pattern, and I'm absolutely sure your swap will work.

18R, 20R, 22RE etc all work out the same.  18R uses a different clutch and flywheel but you'll never see one here in the US unless you're looking at a 73 or 74 pickup

i saw one in a 7? 2wd kyle but never really thought much about it


yes it will bolt to your 56 tranny

i suggest using your trucks cam and rockers
