i might not make it in with all those goodies in the back of the truck  . what day are you guys heading up there? im driving up to san fran thursday i can pick up a few things if you want me to. i wont have much in the bed of my truck this year.

I'm heading up Thursaday morning. I'll be on my 2 wheeler so needless to say I won't be carrying much.

i would be coming from the sac area, im undecided on if i want to come in from loon or tahoe. what time does the events begin in the springs on saturday? ill be coming in possibly Thursday night, but more likely friday morning. and need to be going home sunday. would i be better of going in from loon, going till buck camping frinday there, then going to springs. or should i just go to springs friday from tahoe. camp until sat, and head home?
also anyone going to be headed from brentwood, oakley, tracy area interested in meeting up? or even sac area?

fordh8r, I was just looking for a few people to follow up.  Convoy.  I have been to Tahoe a bunch but never to the CON.  Plan on leaving Thurs morning.  Might wait till after the morning traffic though.

I hear ya. The good news is that traffic isn't usually too bad heading that direction in the morning. I usually make it to Sac in about 90 minutes or so. Beaides, I also will usually do my shopping when I get up that way and by the time we make it down to the springs it is also still daylight which is great for picking a camp site and getting set up too. Right around the 5pm mark.

any news on the helicopter rides? last i heard you guys werent sure if he was going to be able to make it.

Loon in is the flow of traffic, so, easy.

I think we won't know for sure until Thurs or Fri before the event. The pilot has two jobs lined up, and depending which one becomes available first will dictate if he can make it or not.

BigMike I was planning on bringing a "smokey joe" weber charcoal bbq to cook some steaks. Is that alright?  just wanted to make sure before I packed it.
