Penn 80w with standup rod
« on: Mar 11, 2013, 06:21:37 PM »
Figure I'd throw this out here before attempting EBay.

I've had this for a long time and never used it, it's in excellent condition, really couldn't be better unless it was new. It's been completely gone thru by Cal Reels, and been rebuilt and set for 100lb line. It's been stored in its original box forever and never been exposed to the elements.

It's a Penn International II 80SW (two speed) on a Cal-Star 6460XXH. Currently spooled with ridiculously heavy line, like 200lb, custom build by Hi's Tackle when they were in San Francisco. This setup was custom built for a gentleman nicknamed "SaltyT". I picked this up from him years ago from Santa Cruz.

I need the money more than the rod. I have his custom travel boxes if someone's interested in a chunk of super cool long range fishing gear.

Damn. How did I forget that. $800, for $900 I would throw in the shoulder harness and fighting belt.
