Best Offroad Molded Floor Mats
« on: Jan 27, 2013, 08:20:55 PM »
So i did a search and i was surprised there isn't a thread on this already, but I'm getting a 2004 4 door tacoma and i'm in need of floor mats. Has anyone bought any that they were absolutely amazing? I'm looking for some heavy duty mud catching mats worth of the most crazy mudding trips. I've heard Weather Tech has some good ones or maybe Husky... just wanted to know if anyone out there was blown away by some product out there...

i was looking at weather tech's but apparently they're not for double cabs, only single or extra cabs... so that's frustrating...

If you want "nice" ones get the weather tech digital fit molded ones...for heavy duty I prefer the walmart special :gap:

Looks like they have the floor liners for the front, just not for the rear. Too bad -- they would be my first choice. I have owned Husky floor liners and they held up OK but were slick underfoot. I have seen (but not owned) Weathertech floor liners and prefer them. If I hadn't bought Toyota all-weather mats for our '05 Tacoma, I would get Weathertechs.

I have had these since the late '90's, I think they are Husky(look like their "Classic Style), but they don't have a company name on them.

                            3rd gen                                                             2nd gen

                            3rd gen                                                    2nd gen

If you get ones made out plastic, you should be able to reform a set of 3rd gen liners for a custom fit.

Just take out the floor padding.  That way, you don't have to worry about mats sliding around, and when dirty, pull the plug and hose out the floor boards!!  :yesnod:  That's what I do.  And on the plus side, if something is leaking, you can tell!!

I got some weather techs for christmas and like them. they seem to be made very well. Heavy duty thick rubber. I was suprised to see that they offered ones for my 1987 4runner. I think I may get their cargo liner as well.
