Keep the signatures coming folks. I am sharing this on my FB about every other day. A good way to get people that normally don't care about public land closure issues to care, is to remind people that this closure prevents access of all types, and essentially turns over 150,000 acres of preserved ecosystems into bombing ranges. I've gotten several folks to sign it based on the loss of habitat/nature protection alone.

A local Pikes Peak trail system here in Colorado, used regularly by moto-cross riders, was recently shut-down due to environmental activism. A little different than this situation, but still... I just hate to lose access to public lands. Glad to see that off-roaders are getting more and more organized.

Also, just wanted to say I wouldn't have known about this if it wasn't on the front page of Marlin's online store. Thanks for taking the lead on this Marlin & co!

To those that will never see the Hammers or wheel them:

I supported this though I will never go there. The innovation and foward progress of our sport comes out of these events. Our sport will die without California and all the business it has supporting the offroad industry. If we want good quality proven products for our rigs we need to secure the sport where ever it exists.

I love my ICONs and MARLIN clutch. Both of which, would not have existed if there were no places to wheel.

I think we should continue to go for as many votes as we can get by the deadline. I can't go to KOH, but I was thinking, if people are willing to print out flyers, if no one else can, I will make a flyer template with a link to the petition, this post, and the one on Pirate. Folks that are going to KOH should print as many as they are willing and take them and talk to folks and pass them out.

One thing I have learned over the years is that despite our huge internet presence, there are still a ton of wheelers that just aren't into computers or on the web. Out of my group of wheeling friends, only a small fraction can even use a computer let alone do anything beyond Facebook. There is a huge segment of our sport that may still be unaware of this possible closure. KOH would be the perfect time and place to spread the word while you watch the race. Just some thoughts.

I am currently in the middle of mid terms and my father in law just passed away last Friday, so I am really, really busy with all kinds of things, but if there are people that are willing to distribute them, I will make a flyer.

although i dont know if i will ever make it to either a KOH event or just to go wheeling being that i am at least a 35 hour drive away it really makes me angry to see land and trails get taken away for no good

reason..

honestly, i dont think this is a time to slow down with the voting.. i really think people should keep it up to show how serious us offroad enthusiests are about keeping our land open.. plus voting was easy and

only took a minute..
