So this is my first Toyota build. I have done a few motor swaps in VW GTIs back in the day but never one in a toy. So a little background on the pickup, I purchased it quite a few years ago and did a few minor modifications just to make it my own. Recently the truck was involved in a hit and run, my truck was parked and some joker hit my lf tire head on and broke the bolt on the leaf spring and pushed my tire into the cab. Which started the process.
Let's start from the begining.
The truck how it was when I purchased it. Only thing I did was have the windows tinted.

Pictures of the Recaros not installed yet.

And then the brake upgrade.

More to come soon. I also forgot to mention it was involved in a hit and run before on the highway ruining my bed. Flatbed pictures next.

Forgot to mention future plans/already in progress.
Working on/ good portion finished:
Front spring hanger: Tacked on.
RUF: Pack made and dry fitted with 5.5" shackles. Pack consists of stock rears and OME 2" lift springs.
2RZ wiring installed with many loose ends to tidy up.
2RZ motor installed using Chilkat mounts.
IFS steering box mount: welded in, and box dry fitted.
Future plans:
Chevy 63"s in rear.
W56 trans with dual cases: have two stock cases and trans, waiting for funds for adapter.
Sliders amd bumpers: Maybe custom build?
Front and rear diff armor and gussets.
Lockers
Tires: size and brand to be determined.
Hy-steer: waiting for funds to purchase.
And I am sure I am forgeting a bunch.
Pics of finished products to come!

Close to my build, a few years ago. For simplicity, I did the 22re swap.

So here's a pic of the flatbed. Driving home from a friends on Halloween a few years ago a young lady side swiped the entire length of the bed. So i built this. It was the first thing I ever fabricated.

I too have a 2RZ swapped into my first gen. I used the entire Tacoma harness, headlight to taillight. Tacoma instrument cluster too. Enjoy.

Yes lots of progress!
Here's the begining of the tear down.

Interior prep!

New front cab mounts built!

Rear rust repair where the seatbelt bolts through the floor!

Underside of cab undercoated!

Interior painted!

As far as the wiring I am also using the whole harness from bumper to bumper.

Nice.  I love that paint when you first got it.
