pull the shafts   pull the third,      put the new third in with minimal sealant,  put shafts back in, bolt up and run it

OOPS

1.   Drive around a bit to get the gear oil warmed up, will drain faster.
2.   Set on jack stands and remove tires and brake drums.
3.   Drain gear oil.
4.   Disconnect e-brake cables and brake lines, plug the brake lines.
5.   Remove the eight nuts holding the axles in.
6.   Pull the axles out of the housing.
7.   Remove the four nuts and bolts holding the d-shaft to the diff. If they have never been removed before the may still have the factory thread locker and will be very tight. Heat the nuts with a propane torch a bit to soften the thread locker. Mark the d-shaft and flange so you can put it back in the same spot you removed it from
8.   Remove all the nuts and lock washers holding the diff to the housing.
9.   Pull the diff, it may be stuck, put a small jack up by the flange and jack up the front of   the diff a bit to break the seal.
10.   Install in reverse order
11.   Now would be a good time to change the axle seals.
12.   Bleed the brakes and fill the diff with gear oil.
13.   Have fun driving a spool on the street and wearing out your tires.
