"Another Battle won in the Fight to Save The Hammers! Bill HR 4310, the bill to which both the Senate and the House approved The Bartlett Amendment requesting the Marines to further look at the cost to off-roaders of losing Johnson Valley was passed into law today! We still have a ways to go, but your efforts are working!"
"For those wondering what this means. It means The Marines will have to prove to Congress they've done their due diligence in looking at the impact to off roading before they can move forward with their plans to expand. It does not mean The Marines have stopped their plans for expansion. The Bill can also still be vetoed by the President. Because the bill is a military budget bill and is over the amount that was requested, this is a possibility. However, 81 Senators voted in favor of the bill today, and if we got the amendment passed once, if it's vetoed hopefully we can get it passed again."
