Topic: charge Lamp relay being GAYY

Ive got a 1981 toyota 4x4 with a 22r in it, I just bought a charge lamp relay from a member, and Plugged it in  It worked  and still kinda does,  But heres what is going on.

I took the "shell" off of the unit, and everything is still connected to it, if i shake it or wiggle it or if i go over a bump the thing looses contact and turns my charge lamp on, if i fiddle with it it will go off, 

DO I HAVE A FAULTY RELAY>>  its works intermitten or when i phuck with it

Check your voltage regulator.

no im charging,  the fricken relay is fudged, I can take the thing in my hand and WIGGLE IT and the light will turn on and off.

Im thinking of waiting Bc I have a harness from a 89 22re  I am wanting to swap in so that would take care of that crap, but Its on until i tap on it and then the light turns off

Can you add some wires to a standard lighting relay, then plug those wires into the socket?
