The only thing I can think of, is that the shifter itself might be bent or something. I threw my friends shifter on my transfer case and it worked flawlessly without issues. Thats when I was rereading everyones post and saw yours and wondered if it would work. Well, it did and the shifter is the only thing we can see thats the culprit.

Me too. I'll keep you all posted with what happens the next couple weeks. As for now, it seems to be working perfect

alright guys, I finally have an update for you. I took the truck out to Hollister Hills today and I successfully drove it in 4high and 4 low with multiple shifts between the two throughout the day. Not one problem, I just have to hold the shifter as stated above. Thanks again for everyones help. I really appreciate it
