L50 tranny weight

What does a L50 weigh without the Tcase? I know the Tcase weighs 80 pounds. how about the tranny?

That much, with the Tcase removed? Ouch!! I'd have thought it'd be much less. Can u verify that? I saw some where on the website that the T case alone was 80 lbs. Figured it would be much heavier than the tranny.

I just shipped one:  tranny with out transfer and no oil--104lbs (including box I made for it)

Nope, cardboard with a boat load of shrink wrap to hold it together.  It was sort of heavy duty cardboard if there is such a thing.

hey mike whats the difference, i mean i m happy with what i got from matt :smack: anything is a HUGE improvement over a L43 with 375000 miles   
but isnt the only difference between the L50 and L52 is the input bearing ?   :dunno:
