I'm looking to build a bumper with a tire carrier or a new tailgate with a built in tire carrier. Something that gets my spare out from under the frame and out of the bed. I want ideas and suggestions and I'm designing this thread as a project research gallery to compile all of the things you like and don't like about your spare tire carrier. My truck is an 88 xtracab and I don't know whether to put the carrier on the bumper or in a new tailgate. Also I don't know the best design for specs that allow versatility. 236
