I have a 82 yota, the headlight on the pass side has always been dim since I bought it a few months ago.  I replaced the headlight, then checked the fuse, and even spliced a new plug onto the harness and grounded it directly to the chassis.  Still have a dim light!!  :_order:  :hammerhead:  :hammer:  :screwy:   Anyone run into this on their trucks, or know what it might be?  Thanks for the help  :help:

Sounds like your wiring sucks.  Wire in some good relays and you should be good to go.

I was hoping I didn't have to put a whole new headlight harness in it, but it looks like that might be my only option.

Check the placement of the wires on the light. you may be powering both elements.
