Clutch pedal issue..

Ok, I have a Marlin 1200# clutch, and I love it.  Back in June, after I got back from Fresno, the clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there.  The master was down some.  I bled some air out of the line to get it driving.  Got a slave cylinder, and it sat in the tool box till last week.  I installed the slave cylinder, and bled the lines.  But the pedal still feels soft, very soft, almost like it doesn't want to spring back from the floor.  If I'm driving it daily its not bad, but if the rigs sits for a day or more, it worse.  So, do I need to get a new clutch master cylinder, and a new rubber line?  Everybody at the local parts houses says they never see a clutch master cyl go bad, or the hose.  But they always see the slave cylinder go bad.

So, what is everybody's take on this?  Do you think I need a new master?


Also, what is the best way to bleed the line?  I just have my son push on the clutch pedal to the floor, and I crack the bleeder till it comes out steady and no air.  And repeat.  Am I doing it wrong?

I've never seen the hose go bad............

But I've had master's go bad...........

See if there's seepage inside around the pushrod

When's it really bad, your carpet will be soaked..


For bleeding, just add some teflon tape around the bleeder screw so air can't slip by the threads when the screw is cracked loose.
Otherwise, you're fine.
