Quick question: do V6 brake calipers bolt right up to a 4cyl? I have a 3rd Gen 4cyl that's getting new calipers soon but just wanted to know if the V6 ones bolt on or if there was some Fab involved. Thanks guys

THK Matt

No they wont bolt up to a 4cylinder, thats a engine ;)
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

I recently installed v-6 calipers on mine and I had to trim a little off the backing plates. Hopefully you don't have that problem.

THK Matt

If its ifs to ifs, shud be no prob. Of its ifs to SA, then i can see trimming, but most dont run backing plates on their solid axle.

You're right Matt, I should have ran it without backing plates. My trucks kinda  :stopit:

I cut mine down so its just got the brake line holder

I cut the circle with the bolt holes and just run that. I cut the brake line bracket off anddrilled a hole in it, the caliper bolt holds it in place. This way I do not have to disconnect the brake line from the caliper when I want/need to get into the front end.

V-6 calipers bolt right to a Toyota SA but you need/should run different rotors. I think the rotors I used were from a FJ-60 Landcrusier I think, do not remember I did it in 1999!!!! :reg:
